How do I sync to Weixin? Do I need the extension?
AnswerWeixin official accounts only move in a browser where you are signed in. The Dianwu extension takes the master draft into the draft box; you open it, check it, then send. Without the extension and a session, the hosted app cannot do this step. Other sites follow the same idea; the overview is How do I sync one master draft to many platforms?.
What the extension does, what you do
Load the Dianwu extension from settings, open the Weixin admin in Chrome, and stay signed in. On copy, sync and tick Weixin. The extension prefers a draft and will not hit send for you.
Title and body come from this master draft or its variant. Cover, author, and original-content flags stay in the Weixin admin. How the draft is written: How do I turn a topic into a publishable master draft?.
When progress does not match
If the page still says syncing but extension history already succeeded, import that history. Do not fire sync again or you may get two drafts.
If the extension says you are signed out, sign into Weixin and retry. Accounts live under accounts. The same piece can later become voiceover or a podcast.
Do this
- Load the Dianwu extension from settings.
- Open the Weixin admin in the same browser and sign in.
- On the master draft, tick Weixin in multi-platform sync and wait for the draft link.
- Open the draft in Weixin, check it, and send it yourself.
Short answers
- Will it blast to every follower?
- No. The extension stops at the draft. The send button stays yours.
- Can I sync Weixin without Chrome?
- This release uses the Chrome extension. You can still copy from copy into the admin; the extension is there so you move it once.
